Schedule, Tuition, Fees, and Discounts

Our official business hours are 07:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. On Saturday’s we offer tours by appointment only. We are closed on Sundays and certain holidays. We offer two types of enrollment schedules (Admission Plans); Full-Day and Half Day. We also offer Early Drop-off Option and Late Pick-up Option. Half-Day schedule is offered for up to 3 months only, after that the student must transition to a Full-Day schedule unless special circumstances prevent such transition. All schedules are for 5 days per week. All schedules come with the option of Flexible Attendance  for free, which frees parents from the commitment of 5 days per week, and allows them to elect less than 5 days per week. Half Day

Application & Registration Fees

Application Fee ($100):

The Application Fee is a non-refundable $100 due at the time you submit your application. This fee is your reservation of one of the 14 spots available in our school (our maximum capacity is 14 children) for 30 days while you complete all the forms in the Enrollment Packet which includes forms required by the State and forms required by the school. At least two of the forms required by the State must be completed by your child’s health care provider.

Registration Fee ($100): 

A $100 Registration Fee is due when you submit the full Enrollment packet. This fee is assessed for processing your child’s forms and the follow-up time spent by staff to ensure all forms required in your child’s file are complete as per the requirement of the regulatory agencies and the California Department of Social Services (our license issuer and monitor). This fee also covers the cost of any work, play, art, napping supplies purchased for your child as they start their school year in Maha Montessori. This Fee is deductible from the second month’s tuition (In the event the second month’s tuition is paid in full, the school will issue a $100 check to refund this fee to you). 

Waiting List Fee ($40): 

A $40 Waiting List Fee is assessed if you would like your child’s name be added to Maha Montessori’s waiting list for an upcoming academic year starting within 6 months. This is to reserve your child’s order on the list and to ensure that only those who are genuinely willing to wait for a spot are on the list. This fee in non-refundable, but is deducted from the first month’s tuition once your child has enrolled in Maha Montessori.

Emergency Kit Fee ($50): 

Each Child must have an Emergency Kit at the school to user it in case of emergencies (e.g. Earth quakes). This kit is normally supplied by parents. For a list of items to consider in your child’s Emergency Kit, check the Nutrition & Safety section of our website. If parents opt for the school to supply the Emergency Kit, a $50 fee is charged and payable on registration.

Last Month Refund Deposit (50% of monthly tuition)

Fully refundable if drop-out notice received before the 21st of the last month. If otherwise cancellation or drop-out notice is received on or after the 21st of the calendar month, the refundable amount is prorated to cover our 10 days advance notice policy. Ex. if parents notify the school on the 24th of the month that this is their last month with the school. Whereas the balance of the month (6 days) is already covered by the month’s tuition (Tuition is paid on the 1st of each month), 6 days is still 4 days short from our 10 days’ notice rule. As such, 4 days are charged to the Last Month Refundable Deposit and the remaining balance of the Last Month Refundable Deposit is refunded.

Time Fees

Late Pick-up fee is $6 per each 30 minutes:

We understand that things happen, as such, we are pleased to offer the first cumulative 60 minutes of late-pick-up free of charge for your convenience (you get this monthly :). However, we don’t want your little ones  to experience too many disappointments at the time of pick-up. As such, to encourage you to arrive on time, each 10 or more minutes of late arrival will be added up, if you exceed a cumulative 60 minutes per month, the excess will be billed at $6 per 30 minutes. 

Time Fee Rate (Exceptions Rate): 

$2 per 10 minutes. This rate applies for any circumstances not covered elsewhere.

Drop-Out and Cancellation

10 days notice required. refund starts from the 11th day till the 30/31 day per the following formula: (Monthly Tuition/30) x Number of days from the 11th day till the 30/31

Any Day Starter: 

Applies for the first month only if the parent need to start dropping the child off earlier than the first of the calendar month.Tuition will be prorated to the number of days left in the month (10% discount will be included).
